Simple Fitness How-To’s

Want to start pumping that iron, but you’re not sure where to start? Ready to try out yoga but don’t know what the hell the tree pose is? Don’t worry; we’re here for you. Check out our list of some easy exercises using your home roman chair and how you can do them so that you can get started on that weight loss and fitness journey:

Bicep Curls

Set your feet under your hips and grab the weights with your palms facing forward. Lift the weights toward your shoulders while bending your arms. Lower the weights slowly back down while straightening your elbows.

Tree Pose

Stand upright, then shift your weight to the right foot with your left knee going to the chest. Shift your knee to the side and press your foot’s sole onto the calf. Over your head, place your palms together, then proceed to hold five to ten breaths.

Perfect Plank

Lie flat on your stomach. Rest your upper body flat on your forearms against the floor—contract both your buttocks and abs. Lift your torso slowly off the floor. Hold this pose for around five seconds, then lower it again.

Squats

Keep your shoulders and feet width apart and ensure your back is straight. Lower your rear and bend your knees as though you’re sitting on a chair. Make sure you keep your knees over your ankles.

Working Out Abs

The canoe twist does wonder when it comes to abs workouts. With your feet apart, stand straight up. Lock your fingers using a solid grip, exhale, then sweep your shoulders, arms, and hands to the right and left like you would if you row a canoe. Simultaneously, lift your knee and shift it to the right. Switch for twenty reps.

Conclusion

The most important thing is to try and make your workout routines stick. Keep your sessions between twenty to thirty minutes, and always track your progress. Starting to work out regularly can end up being the best thing that ever happened to you.

Always remember to take it slow. Don’t rust into intense exercises right away, especially if it’s your first time doing so.
