Good Health vs Ripped Abs

This past Saturday, I went up to a friend’s cottage ready to enjoy some jet-skiing, bbq, etc, etc…

Unfortunately for me, what I thought was just some unpleasant allergy symptoms brought on by Toronto’s nasty smog turned out to be the first salvo launched by an unpleasant little germ against my immune system.

Fast forward to Sunday, and I was flat on my back with:

  • fever
  • headache
  • body-aches
  • chills
  • copious amounts of mucus,
  • incredibly sore & scratchy eyes
  • a nasty cough
  • a sore throat (extra fun with all the coughing)
  • and a partial loss of my voice (it kept coming & going)

Fortunately for me, I was able to sleep most of the day…and today I feel at least 37% better.

I am also 100% convinced that a ripped set of abs doesn’t mean diddly-squat when you are flat on your back fighting off an unpleasant illness.
