Advice for everyone who screwed up their diet yesterday

Today is a brand new day.

Yesterday’s screw-up is in the past.

Obsessing over it isn’t going to reverse time – but it might lower your level of “feel good” hormones and make you more likely to pig out again today.

Today is a brand new day.

Be good to yourself by feeding your body the food that it NEEDS.

Give it the physical activity that it NEEDS

And give yourself a break.

Catastrophizing your diet slip-up isn’t going to help.

Ask yourself why you ate that entire pizza, learn from it and move on.

Today is a brand new day….and you get a do-over my friend.

It's always important to acknowledge that you made a mistake and it's time to move on, instead of rationalizing further. Positive mantras are important in staying on track and understanding that it is a new day, and that we need to make each day a masterpiece can help us stay the course.

Great tip!

I also find that it is helpful to never forget that the "rest" of today is another day. Never get in the trap of thinking about "starting tomorrow". How about starting today! So what...you ate that piece of cake...you can still learn from that. The past is the past. That includes yesterday, one hour ago, one minute ago, one second ago....let it go.

Thanks Doug!
